If you are a new user first you need to register to the system before submitting an abstract.

After submission you will receive an email with your username and password.

Through the "Personal Area" you can submit your abstract(s). The abstract will remain as a draft, which will allow you to return to your stored form and revise its content at any time before the deadline.

When you are ready for the final submission, please access to "personal area" and validate it on "save and submit". No more changes will be allowed after the final submission.

On receipt of the abstract a confirmation will be sent to the e-mail address of the corresponding author as indicated on the abstract form.

The Scientific Committee reserves the right to decide if the presentation will be delivered as an oral or as a poster presentation.

At least one of the authors of the abstract is requested to register as a participant to the IEB Workshop. Failure to register will result in exclusion of the presentation.

Abstracts sent by fax or regular mail will not be considered.


  1. Online abstract submissions are required.
  2. The Abstract must be written in English.
  3. Deadline: abstracts MUST BE RECEIVED until June 30.
  4. Presenting authors must pay the registration fee and attend the Workshop. Authors of accepted abstracts are not provided with travel funds.
  5. After the registration is effective, authors will submit abstracts by using the password and user name received.
  6. Use MS Word for Windows as a text processing program.
  7. Arial (10 points) is the preferred font.
  8. The text should be single spaced and justified.
  9. The text should not exceed 300 words.
  10. The title of the abstract must be written in capitals, bold type.
  11. The name(s) of the author(s), the affiliation(s), city and country must be written in bold type. The author(s) must be indicated by their surname(s) followed by initials without dots (i.e., Klis SFL). In case of multiple affiliations, each individual affiliation should be indicated by a reference number.
  12. The use of tables, figures and formulas is not allowed.
  13. The abstract should address the problem and the purpose of the study (OBJECTIVE); how the study was performed (METHODS); the main findings (RESULTS); and the main conclusions drawn from the study (CONCLUSIONS).
